Dorothy – with Sunny Ormonde

Sunny is renowned for her role as the 'outrageous and raunchy' Lilian Bellamy in the BBC Radio Four series The Archers.  Dorothy couldn’t be more different from the gin soaked, man hunting Lilian.  Sunny’s interpretation of a somewhat overbearing Northern woman incorporates every aspect of the life of “ladies of a certain age” with brilliant observational humour but also moments of real pathos.

This show could be said to have echoes of Victoria Wood’s comic creations together with the poignancy of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads.

An incredible performance by the ultra talented Sunny Ormonde, amazing writing from Jane James and excellent direction from Sue Wilson - Susi Osborne, Northwich LitFest Organiser.
Jane James is a marvellously funny, clever and thoughtful writer - Janet Ollier, Goostrey Goosefest Director
