Rose Plays Julie

While studying veterinary science in Dublin, Rose (Ann Skelly) decides to contact her birth mother (Orla Brady), who gave her up for adoption; but the secrets she uncovers put her on an unsettling collision course with her own fragile identity.  Rose Plays Julie generates a sense of dread through cool, restrained performances.  Frank, immersive and decidedly feminist, this is a dark and uncanny thriller about identity and integrity, tension, release, and catharsis and our need to understand who we really are.

Directed by Joe Lawlor &and Christine Molloy.
