Steel Magnolias

Set in a beauty parlour in Chinquapin, Louisiana in the deep south of America in the 1980s, a group of six women regularly gather to engage in small-town gossip.  They forge strong friendships, and as the title suggests they are all as delicate as magnolias and as tough as steel.  The four scenes spanning three years show how the women maintain their friendship despite conflict and tragedy.  These women are strong, sassy, supportive and at times hilariously funny.  Come and join Annelle, Clairee, Shelby, M’Lynn and Ouiser at Truvy’s beauty parlour where they would rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.
