The Hereford Police Male Voice Choir

A charity concert in support of Blackmarston Primary School, Hereford (www.blackmarstonschool.co.uk/), for children with special educational needs;  and Acorns Children's Hospice (www.acorns.org.uk/), for children with complex medical needs and their families.

The choir was formed in 1957 by a group of policemen who came together to sing at the centenary celebrations of the former Herefordshire Constabulary. Their love of singing led them to continue—and more than 60 years later, the choir is still going strong, now with nearly 80 members.

The choir has performed at major venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Notable appearances include BBC’s Last Choir Standing (2008) and the 10th International Police Music Festival in Zurich (2010). Tours have taken them across Europe and North America, with their most recent trip to Gouzeaucourt, France earlier this year.

Raising money for charity has always been a core part of the choir’s mission, with over £100,000 donated to good causes over the decades.

With guest performers The Three Tenders (www.facebook.com/ThreeTenders/), a Hereford trio singing a varied mix of music, from musicals to great classics and old favourites.
