Carmen Reimagined

A Theatrical Concert of Spanish Music, Passion and Drama, this is not just Bizet’s Carmen, but a vibrant theatrical concert that weaves together the greatest hits from Bizet’s iconic opera with the rich and evocative sound world of Spanish guitar. Inspired by Carmen and told from Carmen’s own point of view, the performance unfolds as a play, with costumes, props, storytelling and a compelling dramatic narrative. Alongside beloved arias and melodies from Bizet, the music travels beyond the opera into the heart of Spain, featuring gorgeous guitar works by Albéniz, Falla, Tárrega and García Lorca. The result is a fresh, immersive experience that brings together opera, classical guitar and theatre — moving seamlessly between Bizet’s unforgettable melodies and the sensual, atmospheric and deeply Spanish soundscape of composers inspired by the country. Familiar, theatrical and beautifully unexpected, this is Carmen’s story — but told through much more than Bizet.
