Herefordshire County Drama Festival

Look forward to performances of original and tried-and-tested one-act plays, and acts from longer dramas that make sense in their own right, including entries from our very own LADS. 

They can be from 20 to 55 minutes long, ranging from laugh-out-loud comedies and nail-biting thrillers to highly-emotional dramas. Each evening will be an exciting experience for both the performers and the audience, as points out of 100 are awarded by the adjudicator for acting, production, stage presentation and dramatic achievement - and don't forget that points can be deducted too...!  

Sonia Woolley, an adjudicator from the Guild of Drama Adjudicators, will adjudicate; and the event will as usual be governed by the All England Theatre Festival's rules. 

Sessions are Friday 20th March 2026 7pm, Saturday 21st March 2026 2pm and 7pm,

We currently expect six drama groups to participate:
Friday 20th March, 7pm:
WHADS (Wellington Heath) - Pearly Gates by Pippa Henry
LADS / SmartPett Productions (Ledbury) - Park Lane by Richard Pett
Saturday 21st March, 2pm:
Norbury Players - Lockdown in Little Grimley by David Tristram
Exit Fool Productions - The Last Waltz of Richard Rourke by Antony Jenkins
Saturday 21st March, 7pm:
Conquest Theatre (Youth) - Invacuation Intervention by Mark A. Stubbs
LADS - The Ballad of Maria Marten (Act I) by Beth Flintoff
