The early 1970s marked a golden age for acoustic music and the singer-songwriter tradition. Among its finest voices was Nick Drake, whose hauntingly beautiful songs continue to captivate audiences today.

This concert is both a heartfelt tribute and a deeply personal performance, celebrating Drake’s timeless music through an intimate acoustic experience. Accomplished musicians Keith and Richie perform on finely tuned acoustic guitars and a range of expressive flutes, bringing fresh colour and emotion to Drake’s treasured songs. Richie's improvisational flute work enriches the music with subtle textures, highlighting both its beauty and mystery.

Nick Drake emerged from the flourishing Cambridge and London arts scene of the late 1960s. Signed by Island Records, he recorded his acclaimed debut album Five Leaves Left, now regarded as a masterpiece. Although he received limited recognition during his lifetime, his music was rediscovered by a new generation in the early 2000s. And today, Nick Drake is celebrated as one of Britain’s most beloved songwriters and poets.
